  • Duties: Manages the design unit, supervising two design positions; provides art direction for UC Davis Magazine, undergraduate recruitment materials, development campaign materials and special projects; chief educator for campus graphic standards and brand development
  • Other UC Davis posts: Designer for Repro Graphics, 1987-88; editor/designer for Publications Office, 1988-96
  • Background: More than 20 years in publications field, the last 18 at UC Davis, and nearly all of that time in University Communications; taught in the UC Davis Extension Graphic Design program for five years, receiving their award for excellence in teaching and outstanding service in 1991; served as volunteer on boards of directors for campus athletics and arts groups and received the Cal Aggie Athletic Hall of Fame Special Recognition Award

  • UC Davis posts: In current since November 2009; nearly 30 years as a UC staff member, including 10 years as webmaster for the UC Davis College of Engineering and 17 years as information technology manager for the UC Davis Bookstore; served and serving on various committees and groups addressing Web accessibility at both the UC Davis and UC system level
  • Background: A magician specializing in close-up and strolling magic; member of two national magic organizations; invented a sport no one has heard of (bagrot)
