Publications

We define and promote editorial, Web and graphic standards for UC Davis publications and provide guidance, resources and training to other campus communicators. Our unit also produces print and electronic publications,including UC Davis Magazine and the campus Web home pages.

    • We write, edit, design and produce many of the highest-impact campus print and electronic publications
  • Our designers
    • Develop and interpret campus graphic standards and provide design guidance and graphic identity design services for select campus units
    • Design publications for University Communications, other University Relations units and Undergraduate Admissions, and do special projects for the Offices of the Chancellor and Provost and select departments
  • Our editors
    • Develop and interpret campus editorial standards and provide editorial guidance for campus communicators

    • Review and copyedit University Communications publications and select publications for the offices of the Chancellor and Provost, other University Relations units and Undergraduate Admissions
  • The campus photographer
    • Serves the offices of the Chancellor and Provost, University Communications and other University Relations units and Undergraduate Admissions
    • Shares photos from online collection free of charge with other campus units, the news media or government agencies

  • Our Web developers
    • Share responsibility with the Web content editor in the News Service for the design and content of the campus Web home pages
    • Develop and interpret campus Web graphic, editorial and accessibility standards and provide instruction and guidance to campus Web developers
    • Create and distribute Web templates, provide Web development consultation to campus units and create and maintain Web sites for University Relations units and high-level campus initiatives
